Ready, Set, Go!

I have thought a lot about this upcoming year. Instead of the predictable resolutions I decided to make a list of things I want to do this year. Each event will be documented (photos and blogged) as they happen. I tried to write a list of 100 things but decided that I should spent some of my year being responsible instead of playing all the time. Here I go. Ready, set, go!

1. Go camping to a place I have never been before.
2. See the sunset over a lake.
3. Bike around White Rock Lake again.
4. Drive by George W’s new house (since it’s only 15 minutes away).
5. Audition for the Dallas Opera Chorus.
6. Call my friend in Australia.
7. Attend 8 of the many free Addison ‘in the park’ events this summer (Salsa Dancing, Symphony or Movies).
8. Leave the state of Texas (no offense. I like you, Texas,  but need to leave to appreciate you).
9. Grow my hair long enough to chop it off and donate to “Locks of Love”.
10. Go to a Dallas Mavericks game.
11. Drive by the new Cowboys stadium (since I’ll never be able to afford a ticket now. Thanks Mr. Jones).
12. Start speaking more Spanish at home (Qual es tu numero de telefono?)
13. Sew a skirt.
14. Visit the Dallas Museum of Art
15. Spend a day at the “King Tut” Exhibition (a lifelong dream of mine).
16. Take a road trip to another major city in Texas that I have never been to  before.
17. Watch ‘falling stars’ (there is a time in August that meteor showers happen every year!)
18.  Master the art of making Salteñas.
19. Read one book a month (already joined a bookclub).
20. Add photos to my Flickr account (because it’s been empty for over a year).
21. Make cards once a month.
22. Create two digital scrapbook layouts a month, blog about it, Flickr about it, and whatever else about it.
23. Date night at the Dallas Symphony (hint, hint husband).
24. Create and print photo books for 2007 & 2008 (digital scrapbooking project).
25. Make Sushi. Eat Sushi.
26. Take a trip in a plane to anywhere.
27. Conquer one of my fears (now to decide on which one to conquer).
28. Play one song from Guitar Hero on ‘expert’ level (whoa).
29. Find a long, lost friend.
30. Put all my loose pictures into photo albums (instead of keeping them in boxes like they have been for the past several years).

You are one hot mama! :) No seriously, this is such a beautiful photograph. Well done! And BTW, anytime you want to make sushi, let me know! I love making sushi (and eating it too) :)

This makes me want to create a list. I liked the “blog about it, flickr about it, and whatever else about it” part. Ha ha ha. Do you make a business out of selling your digital scrap booking pages?

Wow that is quite a list of fun things. Just FYI (because I dont want you to be disappointed like we were) we went to King Tut and it was cool but his carcophagus (Sp?) wasnt even there. They did have his mothers though and that was still really cool. But we were bummed to find out he wasn’t physically there. They do have a lot of his things though. It is still worth going to see and it was only 26$ for adults.

Awesome list! You’ve inspired me to create my own list! Can’t wait to see all the awesome pictures you’ll take while completing it.

#4 – Better do it soon because they’re making the street gated!

#13 – I can help if you’d like. I usually only make costume stuff, though!

#14 and #15 – I want to go so badly to the exhibit, but afraid we might not be able to afford it. (Oh, and DMA has late nights on Thursdays which I think they either do for free or for a reduced entrance fee.)

#17 – Dude, Steph, do you not know about the Leonids? They happen EVERY year on our birthday (though some years they are more visible than others). Make a date? ^_^

#25 – Us too! We love sushi, but it’s so expensive!

I’m going to add to the list of those who commented about the picture. LOVED it! :) You’re are so beautiful! And we are only less than 1.5 hours from San Antonio and you have a free place to crash at the Keelers for camping and exploring other parts of Texas. We also want to come up and see the King Tut exhibit. Can we come crash at your place? ;)

Oh, another thing: Not a major city, but there’s a replica of Stonehenge in Hunt (SOMEWHAT near San Antonio) that would be SO cool to visit (http://www.legendsofamerica.com/TX-StonehengeII.html). I’ve been wanting to go for awhile. Course, I also want some cool costume to wear — it’s a GREAT place for a theme photo shoot. (Which reminds me of a favor I want to ask — which I will when I see you on Sat. ^_^)

Your picture is so gorgeous. Hey, everybody, that’s MY GIRL!! I like your list, too. It is very do-able. I need to take a trip to Dallas again. How long is the King Tut exhibit there? And can I see W’s house too? I don’t think I could do the sushi thing, though (ugh!).

Sooooo Cool! Tony and I are heading to a Mavericks game tonight (too bad I’m in Utah). We have REALLY good seats–thanks to Tony’s weasly (meant in a good way) ways. Watch the game to see if you can see us! Tony also just barely got excited about playing expert on Guitar Hero. He’s mastered a couple of songs!
